There’s some dude named mindwipe on hypnochan, I wonder if it’s the same buttmad anon.
Eh? This anon didn’t sound mad, he sounded like he wanted me to post my art on /pco/ which I find flattering. At any rate, I’ve never been to hypnochan… Though, I know there are a couple of Mindwipes running around, I think there’s even an Encyclopedia Dramatica page dedicated to one.
Ahhh… I hate tooting my own horn like that. I always get the feeling that if you go into a thread and start posting a lot of your own art, there’s an element of people resent it (heck, even Gunsmoke4 got hounded for that, if I remember correct, and he did really good Avatar stuff). If anyone wants to post my images anywhere, I figure they’ll find their way there.
Although, that’s somewhat hilarious when I think about it because I originally stopped being anonymous and started namefagging as “Mindwipe” because I wanted Gold Membership at plus4chan, and the way to get that was to post lots and lots of porn in /pco/ (at the time I dumped my Fred Perry folders every fridays, not my own art).
Awhile back an Anon asked me if I would ever make a side blog for all the boob stuff I end up drawing. At the time, I had like, one, maybe two requests in my inbox for the stuff and I had around 90 followers. Now I have 50 requests for boob stuff, commissions for boob stuff, and 350 watchers. So while I’m not saying I’ll never draw pervy stuff on this blog (I’ll always tag it incase you’re worried, so tumblr savior should catch it), I still would like to keep this blog a mix of things, so I’m going to put the overflow into a NSFW blog: Planet of Junk (Midnight). It’s purely an art dump. If anyone wants to unfollow this blog and only follow that blog, trust me I won’t be heartbroken or anything. If you do decide to follow it, you should probably get the heads up that I’ve gotten commissions for some preeeetty /d/ fetishes… I’ll still try to tag things as bet I can. Anyways… yeah! Hope this helps ease some of the tension trying to juggle content on this blog. And any commissions I post will be with the consent of the commissioner, as that seemed to be the general consensus on the practice.
As always, let me know what you think.
Out of curiosity, what is the protocol among artists regarding posting commissions they’ve finished to their own personal galleries and blogs? Should the artist wait a certain amount of time before making the pieces public? Should they avoid posting the works altogether? Most artists I know post commissions they work on, and while I did carve myself permission in the terms of the commission page to post the work on my blog, I’d love to get some input on what is considered good manners on the subject.
The Legend of Korra makes me crazy happy, you guys. I love Korra, I love Tenzin, I love the kids. After finishing the two episodes at Korra Nation I just have the biggest grin on my face. This show just gives me ALL the good feels.
Sorry to add to the pile of Korra that’s probably swamping all of your dashes. I just had to air out my thoughts a bit.
